Which silent hunter game should i get?

I never new these games existed and they look super fun.

Which one should i get?

I personally prefer 2 and 3 but 4 has it's merits. I hear 5 is pretty good as well

Not to be a d-i-c-k but that was kind of vague, 3 looked pretty good to me, should i just get that one?

If you like u-boats and simulation style gameplay then 3 is the best for sure. If youre more into better graphics and more action style gameplay then 4 might suite you better. 5 is sorta broken and unfinished.

Im fine with bad graphics, i still play oldies like cod 2. Gameplay is what im after.

Theres 2 great mods gwx and lsh3 which improve graphics and add ship traffic and details.

Also you should download sh3commander which let you easily tweak some stuff like more time compression and crew fatique (which can be annoying to micromanage).

I downloaded and tried to install the GWX mod, but it would not install saying there are modded files already. I dunno how that can be as I have only just installed a clean SH3, from Steam, about 10 minutes before trying the GWX mod.
Any ideas?

I've played 2, 3 and 4... SH3 was by far the best in my opinion.

can anyone help me install an mod gwx ive tried like 6 times today all with fresh installs i have the mods i want but i cant get it too work right id be willing too pay some money too someone too help me fix it

5 is pure junkwear. Can not gget anymore inacurate in anything bbut SH5. Its a shame because in that one you can move around on board as well as get out and walk on the deck. But it is a waste. You have to be signed into Ubisoft Uplay, or the game will not work. I do own this. But I figuered why be siggned in steam and uplay, so I got it off steam. I am not going to be signed into 2 accounts. And if someone says you can, never played the ggame disconnected from the internet physicly. The game will tell you there is no internet connection to uplay, and will abort, just so you know..

SH4 is ok, not too bad. There is some BS in it too, but it can be over looked..

SH3 is still the number 1 game over them all, it is a older game, but suprisingly enough plays like a modern game. it even has dozens of mods made for it on the subsim fourms. The most popular is the GWX 3 Greywolves mod. So I would go with 3 for sure...
