Where to hit ships with torpedoes?

I recently got back into Silent Hunter 3 after not playing for years. I was looking for the guide on where it says on where to aim in what ships. Sometimes I sink ships in one hit, sometimes I fire 3-4 torpedoes and the ship is still afloat even if I wait for several hours.

I know that one, it only works if you use magnetic pistol though. It explodes under the ship and creates a vacuum for a split second, causing the hull to break into to halves under its own weight. However its not always reliable, sometimes the explosion deals very little damage to the ship you hit. If you attack during rough seas then its even worst, and you might get a dud hit or miss the ship entirely.

I have not looked at the video yet, but are you using any mods? I am not using any, just the standard game.

Maybe that then, some mods make a big difference.

I know, I should have said mods can affect things like how torpedoes and damage works. I sometimes want to try the Grey Wolves mod, but I think I am content with the standard game for now.

GWX was my favorit super mod, you should give it a try really.

SH III is the best of the serie in my opinion.

I think so too. I hope SH3 works on Windows 10, because I will have to get it on my next computer and SH3 is a game I never get bored of playing.
