Also how bout actually chasing, motortown has em, theyre bs, but if you escape no fine
They really do need more depth than they have right now, but I'll be patient for that. They only just dropped, and I feel this is our first iteration of their mechanics.
Also...to all the folks whining about them...a word of the wise: if using your brakes in town and taking note of where they spawn is really that much of a problem, just veer off-road once you see them. The sooner the better.
Basically just don't let your tires touch the road they're watching, and you won't face any fines. Peoples' lawns are not a public road, afterall!! ;) Kinda silly that it works, considering you'd be damaging property and tresspassing, rather just simple speeding - but this trick already saved me thousands in fines.
The introduction of police, especially in its current form, is a complete backwards step in development.
Perhaps *if* there were a mechanic that once you befriended the cop they'd forgive some speeding, and at max you can speed past them as much as you want, which would be amusing, but by that time any player would be now so used to speeding across lawns past houses, this wouldn't add much to the game either.
