Bruh... you still crying? Have fun with that. And I'm def not reading your word vomit.
You wish. Nope, just don't care enough about ya! Go cry more.
Lets get a little different perspective on this discussion, shall we? First of all, we have really 3 groups, One that think the save is just fine as is, another that thinks it should be changed, and the third thinks that "if you don't like it, mod it" group (which kinda falls into the 1st group, but anyways...).
Every group has a valid point to argue and, per the whole freedom of speech thing, are more then welcome to state their thoughts and feelings on their stance. Where things break down is when we go from a cool, level headed discussion to mindless chest thumping and name calling which really leads nowhere.
Ok, 1st off, the save feature as-is, is just that, as it is. It was specifically made this way because that is the way SG wanted it. He even stated it somewhere himself (or herself, not sure tbh) that the point of the save feature working the way it does is that it is ment as not only as a way to save, but to also help skip time in case you are waiting for something, like maple syrup production, to pass the day, speed up plant growth, etc. Now, I don't know where exactly SG stated this, but I do remember reading it somewhere.
Next up is the change it group. It can be argued that yes, a separate way to save and not skip time could be needed, like the pocket PDA that is in current development. I myself would also like a way to just save and not have to go through the whole process of using the PC to not only save but skip time, but my view is that, well, it is what it is, and I will explain why I say that later on.
The final group is "mod it if you don't like it" camp. Here we have another perfectly good argument that if you don't like the way the game plays, then you can mod it. The whole definition of modding a game is to modify it to play in a matter that you like, may it be harder, easier, or to just change a feature of the game (like saving for example).
Bonus: Someone was going down with the rant of "we paid money for this, it should meet our expectations" or something like that. Now, this is also a valid argument.....if done in the correct context. Lets say you hired a dev to make an app to function a certain way. If the app doesn't meet your requirements, then you are well within your right to make that argument. In this case however, you are purchasing a pre-made product or app in this case. The difference here is that the person that made it had a specific design in mind and a reason behind it. Now, if there was a flaw with how it worked within how the developer intended for it to work then the argument can be made, but if it is working as intended, then any argument is pointless, because it is doing exactly what the developer intended.
Now, with all that said, you can either re-think your views and maybe think it through before hitting enter, or continue on with the chest-thumping and name calling until this thread ends up getting locked. As for myself, I said my piece and now plan on enjoying myself playing a game instead of ranting on a steam discussion thread.
Lmao, when you admitted that you didn’t read something, but you still felt the need to reply, it shows that you are throwing a tantrum because others won’t bow to your wants. You don’t care about anything but getting your way. That’s a tantrum, and it’s crying. I’m just pointing out your stupidity and laughing at you. Try again snowflake.
You left out the fact that this is an early release game and according to Steam rules early release games are only allowed so that the dev can gather feedback. When you buy the game, you are asked to give feedback on it. This thread has been attacked by a few people that don’t understand what feedback is and how it works. Or that it’s part of early release games. Basically, an inbred person has been attacking anyone who is doing what they are supposed to do. That’s what it all comes down to. That’s the one and only problem here.
1. Play a computer game to skip some time (maybe with a choice of how many hours you would like to spend)
2. Save anywhere anytime
3. Save automatically when sleeping or when a new day starts
I usually also like modding games. In this particular case though, I would love to have a vanilla option to cover the wish to save the game more easily/quickly.
2 options:
Play game and Save game by clicking on the computer screen.
Save game by clicking on the keyboard without having to skip 3 hours of in-game time.
The game is too casual to have such a punishing save system. It just feels imbalanced. Even in MSC one can choose a right moment for saving and skip only 5-10 ingame minutes. Without proper time management 3 hours are just day-breaking.
Not to mention if one runs out of fuel in generator in early stages of game, it's just impossible to save.
Time skipping is cool, but not when you just want to save. Feels like I'm saying "Okay, game. I'm good for today. Let me save and quit". And the game goes "GO ♥♥♥♥ YOURSELF I WILL RUIN YOUR SYRUP BATCH AND YOU WON'T MAKE IT FOR NIGHT RACE"
