Maybe something like in Farming Simulator? There you can attach transport belts to the cargo to hold it in position. This is REALLY what the truck is missing!
I drift with full things load on trailer/bed and lose nothing. Maybe that's the secret: you need to drift with a loaded bed lol
It's not so much with the driving aspect, but just trying load/unload with the parking brake on. There is a rather severe physics issue where when the parking brake is applied, it causes a physics issue with items not only in the back of the pickup, but in the cab also.
The parking brake glitch is a known issue, just don’t use the parking brake. I use the crink to hold the vehicle in place if I have to, or park against a tree or something. My problem is that since the last update, the truck slowly slides one direction once you have loaded a few items in it, brake on or off. It doesn’t stop once the items have been removed either. Loading logs, the truck will slide off of the tree that’s holding it in place, and make a run for the water if I don’t keep an eye on it. It will slide enough to jackknife the trailer while I’m trying to load planters in it on the flat parking lot.
As for driving with stuff in the bed, as long as it’s packed in tightly enough to not move too much, it usually stays in place for me. 14 barrels of syrup in the bed and 15 in the trailer, and I’ve never lost one, drifting all the way to town. Actually, the truck drifts the best with 14 full barrels in the bed…
Instead of posting crap about the dev.. maybe understand the issue and realize that this is a Unity issue not a dev issue and it plagues a lot of games like this running Unity.
Its become a joke around here about the problem but there isn't much that can be done other than learn how to deal with it.
Really? Because other games like Hydroneer and others don't have this issue. They find ways to work around it like no clipping when objects are placed in the truck bed. Locking them down so they don't fall out until they are picked up.
I post here because this is the place to do it. How about allowing others to do so where it's supposed to be posted instead of telling people to change their opinions and what they want to say.
Have you actually played Hydroneer? Because if you have then you would know that its based off of Unreal not Unity which are two completely different engines.
On top of that Hydroneer STRUGGLED for years with physics issues of which such simple things as carrying a bucket of ore/gems would lag the game out like absolutely mad.
