Anyone know how to install mods?

Which mods areyou tring to install?


I am new to SH4 and 5 so I am far from expert but here is my uderstanding.

Most mods should have a readme file to tell you, but there seems to be two main types


1. Mods that replace the original game files. Simply copy and past them in the proper game folder

2. Mods that use JSGME, this is an application that allows you to run mods
a. JSGME can be downloaded

b. Put the JSGME application in the silent huter 4 folder
c. Create a folder inside the silent hunter 4 folder called MODS
d. Unzip the mods you want into the MODS folder
e. Run JSGME, the mods in the MODS folder should appear on the leftside
1. Select the mod you want on the left and hit the right pointing arrow to put it on the
right side
f. Run the game and the mod should be working

NOTE some mods can be run either way

Just go to subsim.com for your Mods. You're allowed to download 5 a day & I've been doing just that everyday for over a month w/o a single virus. This site is squeaky clean, & has hundreds of top notch Mods for all sub games.
