v1.4 Patch required...

I bought the game from steam but only v1.3 has been installed in steam. Can STEAM please update to v1.4 If i try to update using patch file I get an error box telling me the game is NOT installed

Same here .. ' wish they'd fix it. There is an update function for all the games in Steam, but it's not updating SH4 to 1.4 .. what's up with that Steam folks?

there is a program in the Steamapps\common\Silent Hunter folder. it is called testapp.
When you run it, it starts to download patch 1.4 and also update the game.

When I ran testapp.exe all it did was start the game up.

C:\748-Spielen\steam\SteamApps\common\Silent Hunters Wolves of the Pacific\UL
inside is a program upgradelauncher. thisshould also start the update.

maybe your version is already 1.4 so there is nothing to update..

I get missing url with the upgrade launcher.

same here i literally just bought it. it will still work, but it is ridiculous to have to download the u-boat pack to get a patch applied. URL says missing.

If you want 1.5, you must buy the U-Boat DLC.

I tried running the update launcher pointed out by [741]Klinikum.
The program said that a newer version(than v1.3) had been found.
I downloaded the update which was about 200 mb.
When I ran the update, nothing appears to have happened; my version is still v1.3.

Edit: It appears that the update launcher points at the folder c:program files/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 4
So the patch will not work as it is pointing at the wrong folder.

Also, I found the REAL manual, unlike the quick(death)start sheet that is claimed to be the manual in the Steam Links, this is a 33 pg pdf in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Silent Hunters Wolves of the Pacific\Support

Scratch that... it downloads it, but when it asks me if I want to run the patcher and I click "Yes" it closes and nothing happens.... :(
