Hi. Well, this might be poor advice, and you may already have done this, but check in Task Manager to see if it's already running, and close it from there if it is.

Hmm I would try deleting and reinstalling, if you haven't already. Not sure if this would make a difference, but delete the SH4 folder in My Documents, too. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to try :/

I had to set my screen resolution way down to 1280 something and then start the game. Once you get the game to load and you can see it, go to options and set the screen resolution up to your default screen resolution and then exit the game, reset your screen resolution and try running the game again again.

Hey everyone, I know this might be a bit late but I think I might have found a fix for this. All I did was go to my steam folder and deleted every file in there except the steam.exe and the steamapps folder.

The following "fixes" didn't work:
* Closing steam through task manager and restarting.
* Verifying the integrity of the game cache.
* Re-installing the game.

I'm no tech pro but I think the game isn't the problem in this case, its Steam and its files get corrupted from time to time.

I hope this helps everyone out there.
