Gat the same problem and i cannot find any solution at this. If somebody have the " how to make this game working and great again tutoriel" i give him/her, personnaly a poutargue stick.
P.S (for the poutargue idk, but a good old fashioned thank will do...i guess).
i had the same problem i think.
windows 10 64 bit, amd RX vega, ryzen 7 3.7ghz (i think?) cpu, 16 gb ram, playing on the new samsung chg UHD 1440p monitor with freesync 2
figured it wasnt working because my monitor is 1440p and 144hz, so i kept tweaking the main.cfg files in both my game directory and also in my documents... turning fullscreen on, off, changing resolution, trying different variations of refresh rate for the different resolutions, etc... didnt really get what i wanted.
so what i found out was to go do your game directory in steam, right click on the application itself (the one that says sh4 and has a little picture next to it and it says its an application), then click Troubleshoot Compatibility. i guess that makes it so that it runs as if it was still on windows7 or something idk but it works for me.
Thanks buddy! I was tearing my hair out trying to get it to work. :D
