Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific

Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific

Windows 10 and Silent hunter IV issues
I found multiple issues in getting the game to work. but what i found helped most was downloading this 4gb patch, it helped the game graphics work and stop crashing. this was on top of the other things i had done fromt he forums here. (edits the main.cfg, running the game in capatibility mode, and selecting to Override high DPI scaling behavior. ) hope this helps anyone else having trouble getting the game to work. I got the idea for the 4GB from subsim.com.

^ this! Finally made this epic subsim game working. It's now Jan. 31st 1943 and no crashes, ghost convoys or slowing down of the game to 1 fps. Excellent. Besides this the exe has to run in Windows Vista sp2 comp. mode and dpi scaling off. Together with TMO 2.5 and easier AI (made a little harder) for TMO I'm having a blast with this 10 euro steam investment.

Hi, I used Winrar, but in W7,8, or 10 you should be able to unpack without any app. Then run the 4gb_patch and point it to the SH4.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Silent Hunters wolves of the pacific) and patch. It will make a backup in the same folder.

so i just make a file some where to unzip it then run the program and have it patch the file location for the game
