Cant play single player

i click new game and it dose not work. i can only play multiplayer.
Pleas help

There is a way to play single player, but you must set it up yourself. It's kind of a pain in the ass, but necessary to do.

Click on NEW GAME. There will be blinking "awaiting players". Go down to "ADD AI PLAYER". Click on any remaining 'awaiting players' to disable them.

You might go into ADVANCED SETTINGS using another button below, to to disable "Advertise On Internet". This will prevent others from seeing your game and entering it.

I have same problem.
When I click on new game I see only backgorund and no options to manage game. After clicking ESC I see again main manu...

My game runs a completely huge window of the game to the point where i can only read the bottom left of the game window and a small part of a spinning globe.

this dosent work if the only thing that shows up is a chat box

Ok I fixed it, my antivirus (Avast) was blocking it for some reason

made sure avast wasn't blocking it but still nothing
any ideas ?

Clicked on NEW GAME and an empty chatbox appears. Nothing else. There is no blinking "awaiting players". No "ADD AI PLAYER". No "ADVANCED SETTINGS". This is our issue.

I have this problem and also it makes all time speeds except 1x “locked”. What gives?
