Mouse keeps detecting taskbar

I recently bought the game, and everything works fine except for one problem. The bottom of my screen seems to have an intense dislike to my mouse, because whenever I move my cursor even an inch from the bottom it stops detecting the "game cursor" and instead focuses on my computer cursor. Whenever I left click either the desktop shows up or nothing happens and the game loses its sound. I'm also unable to click certain buttons at the bottom of the screen, most importantly the "next" button in the tutorial. I'm assuming it's detecting my taskbar, as the margin is pretty close to the size of my taskbar. I'll post a screenshot as an example.

Edit: Apparently the screenshots won't even detect the second cursor. You can still see the lowest my cursor can get, though.

I've tried every game that came in the bundle I got (Prison Architect Introversion Edition) and all of them worked fine except for this one.

For me the Taskbar won't go away and is shown on Fullscreen. Had this issue a month ago in Prison Architect but it was sorted with a patch.

Try moving the dialog box up and away from the taskbar zone, this worked for me

This seems like what I'll have to do. Thankfully all the dialog boxes that are important are movable

This is the issue I have with Defcon, right now.

right click task bar, left click settings and move the task bar to the left,i do this before every game and it works.

This is a big problem caused by an update in Windows 10. We are still waiting on a fix from Microsoft since August 2016. It affects a lot of other apps/games besides Defcon. I went back to Windows 7 and no longer have this problem in Defcon.

Perhaps win 7 compatability mode might help ? IDK. Will try tomorrow.

If you set your taskbar to the bottom then set it to "hide in desktop mode" the problem is reduced greatly. As long as you don't hit the very bottom with your mouse there won't be any problems

Grazie. Had the same problem after buying this on sale and figured it might help others who just joined and having troubles.
