Defcon Deterrence Mod?

Anyone have this Mod Id love to try it but I cant even get scent of a valid working version of the mod that works
I have tried the thing from MoDDB But OMG that ones gonna drive you nuts its just not happening

I use the mod pretty often. You are using this version right?

You have to have 7zip and copy the files to your main directory.

So you have that exact mod v2 downloaded from that link Jaylo mentions right? In the extracted stuff find the README and in there he gives instructions but not good ones his english is terrible and the unclear instruction are driving me mad

Well anyway it works version 2
Just make sure to keep a copy or backup of everything in the original working Defcon in a separate folder before you do anything !
if you have original active Defcon folder open -- beside the files extracted in a new folder then his readme instructions start to make more sense

So you extract that deterrence 7zip or rar file to said new folder
Then youll see this new folder has those extracted mod files Five items (4 files + one sub-folder called 'Data' should be in there) NO Main.dat good ok ! This original dat doesnt get overwritten far as I can tell

Now just replace some files with his extracted items like:-

Copy over his Defcon.exe to the active folder to overwrite the original Defcon.exe file

LEAVE Well alone Main.dat in the original folder thats going to be active when your finished

Optionally Clear out Or transfer to a safe place any MODS you might have in your original Game 'Mods'folder this mod is a complete conversion type of mod it might affect them so then your Mods folder is empty for a bit

4 Drag n Drop HIS Data folder over to working folder to overwrite the original Data folder so now the data folder will have 3 items at least a game options text file and 2 folders ok done

5 if you want to transfer back those existing mods into that empty Mods folder theyWILL work inside Deterrence in game once activated in the running menu

Now its all set & ready to Run for you (via Steam menu Play) as I just had a game and everything of the special features of this mod works as advertised in his Deterrence Youtube

Yea works the same. to Uninstall the mod, i just delete the game and redownload.
