Steam Authentication Failed

Not sure if it's my problem , or Steam's end.And other games work just fine.

Yeah i got the same issue. Ive emailed them to see if i can get any help.

For me it just crashes almost instantly

After reinstalling it 4 times it automatically put in a new cd key and its working fine now.

i have reinstalled it over 10 times, but its still not working for me

It's a long known bug. Though failed authentication defaults you to DEMO user, there are no restrictions to it. It is as good as the full version, except you can't host games with more than one DEMO user in it. There are plenty of dedicated servers where this restriction doesn't apply. If you are still looking for a solution write an email to john@introversion.co.uk. He will manually add your key to get authenticated. (May take a couple days until you get a response)
