How to open the Half-buried treasure chest???

I have found it twice now, but I had no shovel, no explosives, nothing, so there was nothing I could do about it.

you need to eventually find a pickaxe in the canyon area, pedro gives u a quest for it.

Thx cause i played the demo and ask on the discord support and got no reply

You can do it without the quest, or at least I found a way. West of entrance to Papa Davis's camp is a dungeon of sorts at the end you can pick up some pickaxe's.

you can also dig up some of the plants and equip your zombots with pickaxes, they'll then search for "hidden" treasures on their own. (you need to use the expert mode for this) Also they need them (the pickaxe) to plant the seeds in your base.

Hmm.. you mean the caves with the tomatoes? No pickaxe on my run...
