Yeah, the performance and graphics overall is excellent, but has only crashing issues. And those Crashing issues prevent me from playing on my day off :(
Bro, there are 3 kinds of games for the Steam Deck.
1 - Verified - Works flawlessly out of the box.
2 - Playable - Probably works with a mouse/keyboard
3 - Unsupported - Use alternative launchers and methods, and it'll be fine.
But then there are games which don't even include information about Steam Deck compatibility, like this game, and the developers have already stated that they have zero intentions on ever putting an iota of effort into making this game remotely playable on the Steam Deck.
It's obvious they couldn't care less about catering to the Steam Deck owners, so instead of crying about it in every discussion as I've observed you doing in countless discussions, why not make or join a discussion regarding the topic of support which already exists instead of cluttering up unrelated discussions with your Steam Deck seething.
It stops at the last scene instead of exiting, and skipping completely crashes the game. With the jeff scenes it's usually after fast travel so it saves, so I just have to deal with crashes, then skip the scenes after rebooting the game.
Hello,
We made a new version of the game with some fixes that could solve your crash, but we need time to test it properly before to release it for everyone.
But, if you'd like to try it out, please follow these steps:
- Right-click on the game in your Steam Library and choose "Properties".
- Go to the "Betas" tab and enter the code HelperZombot as "Private code".
- Click on "Check code" and you should unlock access to beta_patch version.
- Select “beta_patch” in the “Beta Participation” combo box.
- Your game should now be displayed as “Welcome To Paradize [beta_patch]”.
- You may have to restart Steam to force the download of this version (be careful just closing the steam window may not close Steam, you should force the close in the system tray or simply restart your computer).
- Please notice that when using this version you will not be able to play online with other players that are using the default version of the game. You can go back on the “normal” game later by selecting “none” in the Betas tab.
Please let us know if this corrects your problem.
Regards,
Support - Eko Software
