Should I play the games in order?

Should I play the Brothers in Arms series in order? Are there elements of the story needed from one game to the next to get the full picture?

yes it is a story that goes in order and follows the same group of soliders from start to finish.

I suggest starting with Road to Hill 30 first, yes. Hell's Highway is easier than the first two games and playing it first may spoil you. Earned In Blood is by far the most challenging.

This game series is loosely based on the Band Pf Brothers tv mini-series, so there is at least one more game supposed to be released, but it;s been like 15 yrs, since Hell's Highway was released. But I have seen reports from just a yr or so that the next game is in development but no news is gonna be released until the beta version is ready...........
