This game still worth it?
I remember having played this game a lot when it first came out. Graphics were great, gameplay was best at the time with the 1 hit kill and completing all the missions to get the background for each mission was awesome. Didn't finish the game on authentic, seeing as I got stuck in the Carentan warehouse.

So my question is, has the game aged well? I've only completed this one + Earned in Blood with Hartsock and I've played some bits of BiA 3, the Market Garden version, though that one seemed to be handling different.
What do you guys think?

graphically and mechanically it's still solid, enemy ai is not so good though. also there is no 1 hit kill in this game

As far as I know, when you play on authentic there's a 1 hit kill, depending on where you're hit.

i thought you meant 1 hit kill on enemies, not all weapons do that which is a shame

Thats why I love the m1 Garand ^^ It's true that the Carbine and the thompson don't have that. The Kar98k is also capeable of 1-hit kills.

Playing it again. I owned it and the sequel on my xbox back in 05' and I thought they were phenomenal. To answer your old question. Yup, It still holds up. Textures are kinda blurry but for the time it looked pretty damn good with a subtle and warm bloom effect. AI still holds up too IMO. I've heard newcomers say it's hard to play due to lack of cover mechanics, sprinting and aiming is harder then most games, but I think thats what helps it stand out. It's certainly a game that doesn't hold your hand, and landing a kill shot on an enemy is very satisfying considering how hard the combat can be at times :)
