How do you order a team to assault?

Hold down the Right mouse button. Hover the circle over the Germans. Click the left mouse button to for your squad to assault the position.

Note: Only assault if they are pinned down and have sustained casualties.

Yeah expect to lose at least 1 of your guys in an assualt especially if you dont go with them or cover them

Select training in options. The assault tutorial is included at the beginning of the chapter 'Ambush at Exit 4'. Read the directions and practice on the scarecrow.

If your ballsy, You can use both teams to pin-down groups and assault on your own. Risky move. But popping out and giving a short burst before hidding back behind cover will cause AI to 'Panic' and leave cover.
