Breeding New Colors

I've been stuck on trying to breed for the sky blue/ teal color. I feel like I've tried everything. When going for new colors does it matter if I'm using mixed fish or solid colors? I feel a little lost here.

In the guide section there's a nice chart that shows you exactly what you need to breed to get the color you want. In general though, it's two of the same solid color to get a new mutation.

Did you manage to get tael?

The guide in the guide section works well, but breeding the light green is the best bet for you. 1.5% for each light green for each offspring. It just takes a long time.

I have been at this teal/sky blue fish stuff all freaking day with zero success. I have had 1 breeding pair most of the day, 3 going for the last hour to up my odds. This really shouldn't be so hard. I can't stay up on for days on one game and it seems like that would be the only way. The developer really should fix this.

Finally got the sky blue fish I needed. Took me almost 18 hours, if not closer to 19. Now the endless cycle begins for the lime green. lol
