Yep, what Ellipseed said!
How far in the main game have you made it? The location is pretty far along an area in the main campaign, about 80-90% game completion. It's done this way because the difficulty behind the door is on the higher side, and so prevents you from getting there too soon.
If I remember correctly, the Chronicler also provides a hint if you didn't speak to him about this already.
Ah, so if you really want to know, check out the teleporter in the Cosmos. On the map, it should be the leftmost area in the Cosmos but before you go to any of those circular elemental areas.
Edit: Same screen as the train station in the Cosmos
We want more :D !
Hope you like the ending :)
We always say the same... There are a lot of stories to be told in the Aeterna Universe!
The Ending sounds like a big cliffhanger to me, absolutely loved it.
The fact you re-used a specific location in the Cosmos tells me that those 4 statues we saw in this location could represent 4 deities we will have to beat to break the cycle and free the King of Darkness ?
The one we saw at the end of Pit of the Damned isn't Chaos, so we have confirmation there is more than one deity aware of King of Darkness anb Queen of Light being immortals and keeping the balance.
What about the Oracle too, what is she plotting...
Can't wait to figure it out in a future content upgrade :D
I actually revisited the Oracle, expecting some more involvement there. Alas, not included in this content, but I'm with you and like the way you're thinking.
Have you played Summum Aeterna yet? There's another one of those beings overseeing an upgrade room, and not sure if it's the same one, but now being used at the final cutscene until the next version releases.
I love the base mechanics of this game so much that I'd be completely fine if the devs went the Dead Cells route and just continually added (paid) content to it. The only drawback I can think of is that there doesn't seem an easy way to integrate alternate weapons from the sword for those who need more variability. But with the gems system, that could be as easy as equipping a gem that morphs weapon types &/or adds affixes to weapons. Of course, completely happy without any weapons gimmicks as well.
I also wouldn't complain if they lock new content behind a NG+...
Nope, i heard it wasn't finished yet and i prefer to wait full release before playing a game.
Interresting though ! So the lore is shared among multiple games ?
