Lost 33 hours of game play (saved file was gone) - Tried again, new run - 2 hours gone (again)

Today i decided to log in as usual, found that my game file was "empty" then i was like "whatever" i enjoyed the game so far and i can move forward faster in a new run... I played today like 2.5 hours, to put you in context, i have the problem that sometimes when i open the map the game crashes out of nowhere and forces me to reset my PC (the only game that causes that to my setup "Ryzen 5") when i logged in again, IT WAS GOOooOooONnNeEeeEE. Can someone tell me if my PC is cursed or what? I think that i´ll pause the game for now, i´ve seem that i am not the only one.

So it seems that i know what happened, i erased it while i was login in, the reason why is that even if i minimize the game, everything i do on keyboard reflects in the game, i tried having it full screen and windowed but still, even if i am in another app, the game detect my keys and work while in background... The second time i am not sure how it happened though.

Same thing just happened to me. This game takes keyboard controls even when you have alt-tabbed out and are typing in another window. I alt-tabbed out to write a post online about beating Phoenix, which has the X key in it, and X key is "delete save file". By the time I finished typing my sentence, I noticed I was hearing sounds from the game and the intro cutscene was playing. It was already too late.

I'm not as positive as the OP though about restarting, this is a really bad mistake and I'm not happy about it, I was 8 hours in and restarting isn't gonna happen.

fixed it, go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/ if needed, downloaded the files, go to AppData -> LocalLow -> AeternaTheGame -> Aeterna Noctis and find the files with -bck in their name, remove the -bck to make them your primary save file.

Luckily worked for me but this is still a very bad issue that should be fixed ASAP. Anyone buying this game who sees this thread, BE CAREFUL!
