Because trying to concentrate on the objective while being shot by camping snipers from all sides is just not how I see "having fun".
There are 12k+ daily players on steam alone , i myself play exclusive in EA Launcher so another 20-30k easily there + consoles , this game is nowhere near dead and the most active Battlefield title in it's series currently.
Now I'm not a fanboy and I don't think the current game is perfect, but it's gotta be better than the dumb a* tellitubby fortnite Call of Duty, right?
I'll give 3 guess's. The first 2 dont count!!! lol
You don't have to call in vehicles, but it is an option if youre already on the battlefield. I feel like most people complaining these days don't have the game or only have like 1 hour on it
It's not dead, a simple look at steamcharts will tell you there's thousands of PC users, not to mention playstation and xbox users.
I'm not saying the game is super good by any means but it is alive & in an enjoyable state
This game will always be better the COD , that game has been the same rehash since 10 years ago and it has nothing going for it besides that nasty BR.
Don't have the numbers for the EA launcher but I know a majority if not most players bought this game there at release in the first year and the influx on steam came in 2nd year just like it is with SWTOR , the community is split in half between steam and their main launcher it's not hard to figure out.
This game is at it's end life cycle and still going pretty strong especially since crossplay and xbox / playstation has big numbers aswell.
Next year the new Battlefield will be released so plenty of time to play this in the meantime or even go back to Battlefield V if someone is more into that WW2 feel , i know i played that one till death aswell.
The numbers on PC will decrease though after middle of October when Delta Force will have another pre-release and then release later. Not because it's better, but because it's mostly the same thing but with new maps, different specialists with different skills.
So people who loved BF2042 will switch to DF because there will be no new content in BF2042 and people are already bored to death with old and subpar maps of BF2042.
Either one of us liked BF1-V, but BF1 is still better then 2042 too me. Not because I like WW1 times, but because it represents BF better then 2042. With console mixed with PC I think makes 2042 more ridiculous and over the edge with the specialist. Making the game more a hero run and gun game vs the simple old fashion style of what made BF great.
I think console and PC are two different worlds. PC being more a war game like BF and console being more a run/gun like COD tdm. Now games want to be like other games and bland them together and lose what made it game great in the first place. Plus hardward doesn’t want to be left behind. You only need a 120hz with 60 fps, but naa they tell ya you need 500hz and that many fps to keep selling their crap. Got to make the next game look good. Even though the focus will be towards console run/gun crap vs old fashion BF. They must think were suckers.
