BF2042 Opening twice

Whenever I click play on Steam the following happens

- Click play BF2024 on Steam ONCE
- Button turns blue (As in is already launched)
- Button turns green (As in program closed)
- 5 minutes pass (Exageration)
- Origin starts to launch (takes ages)
- It closes automatically (Not even in system tray)
- Game opens and runs like crap
- I finish playing and close the game
- game opens itself again

I got to wonder, has it been always open and that's why the game is running like crap because my PC is "running it twice"? If not, why does it open upon close and how can I fix this?
