tho not a 1 to 1 look at DMZ people loved the PvEvP but when it started turning to PvP and the devs did nothing to curve that problem the player count dropped.
this new mode is fun and lots of people have come back for the mode when it goes so will most of those players that came back.
Hope it becomes permanent
Limited events is fine, but creates rush and fomo and than people drop it afterwards. Hence GIVE THE COOP A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MATCHMAKING FEATURE. iF WAR MACHINE GOT IT WHY NOT THE COOP (conquest/breakthrough) ??????????????????????
I'm thinking they are preparing for some different modes and game play style for BF6. The skins, adjustments to gun play, and modes brings a light to what they are trying to do for the new BF. We will see what happens to both games when BF6 comes out.
The vast majority of people wouldn't want to play it after a short amount of time. Eventually leaving players that still do finding it harder and harder to even start a round.
These modes are just fluff to hold the last holdouts til the new game is released.
Like cats with a laser beam.
I would say that they are currently running data collection tests to find out what the majority player base enjoy the most so what better way to do this by doing limited events testing all game modes out.
