Is Battlefield 2042 worth $10?

I've been playing it only when it's free and I really ended up liking it a lot. It's my first battlefield...

I saw in many comments that it is not the best Battlefield but it is my first experience in this type of game. If I had a problem, it would be that it keeps loading after each game, removing that seems good to me... I think...

If you had to play the best of the franchise, which one would it be???

BF1942, Bad Company 1/2, BF3/4 were all great BF games. Depending on who you ask or how hardcore the BF fan is, some people would say BF2 and 2142 as well, I am one of those people, didn't like hardline, I use to get EA press passes for games until I told them hardline sucked. BF1 wasn't awful after awhile but I wouldn't put it in the top tier, BF5(I refuse to use a V) is a hack fest from every time I have tried to play it. If this is your first BF game I am sorry on behalf of all of us. MY buddies and I still go back and play BF4 more often than not for a "modern" experience. There is still a group of people who play 1942 as well so you can still find a few full servers but setup isn't easy since it is so old. I would recommend BF4 if you like this to start with on older BF games, then play Bad Company 1/2 stories they are awesome.

for 10 bucks its fine, i got it on sale last year and put in about 100 hrs. the lack of maps is an issue. game looks great on a high end machine for sure. for 10.00 i would buy it.

you cant do anything wrong for 10$ its a good game after 2 years now!
the reviews and most bad comments u read are when the game got launched in a bad state wich they fixed by now most of it atleast.

and to that balckscreen problem , they will defo fix that . wasnt there before last week/few days ago

BF4 had it all. Good maps, enviroment destruction, balanced vehicles and classes, lots of weapons. Overall it was and still is good game with active servers and that battlefield vibe. Still better than BF2042

Now it's a decent game, still FAR from being called "battlefield" but totally worth if discounted.
Cheating is rampant in older BF titles and no, EA doesn't care, they are totally abandoned in terms of any kind of support.

check latest youtube reviews. only 4 types of people here: new curious players, people who like it, people who don't actually play it but like to cry, and players who are bad and hate the game because they're bad. People who actually hate games don't hang out on the forums trying to cope.

Even with all the updates, this game is still a far cry from most of the previous games.

They have a server list, but only for custom games, so you can't control which map or what ping you are playing with. However the custom game feature is probably the best feature this game has to offer.

The game still has a lot of issues with bugs, optimization, and server connection. The game will still crash occasionally, glitch out - causing you to join a new server, etc.

There's a bunch of issues and features missing, but if this is your first BF - then it really doesn't matter, because 2042 is like BF Lite. And if you find you like this game, you will probably really enjoy the previous versions, which are much more polished and full of features.

At $10 it's right on the edge of worth it.
It's one of those games that falls in the "meh" category - kinda of like Star Field. Either you love it or hate it, or most likely you just find it somewhat entertaining and just enjoyable enough to overcome all the other issues.
