2. Open File Explorer: Go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings\
(Make a Backup Copy of PROFSAVE_profile and save it in case you want to reset it later)
..::Change to these::..
-GstRender.ShadowQuality 2 to GstRender.ShadowQuality 0
-GstRender.Dx12Enabled 0 to GstRender.Dx12Enabled 1 <- "I only changed Dx12 line"
-GstRender.WeaponDOF 1 to GstRender.WeaponDOF 0

Save before you close it.
3. then launch the game and go to options. Change Full Screen to Borderless.
Really hope this helps a few of you.
Ironically you may as well play at ultra too. If my FPS gets too high the CPU usage gets to 100% too fast. If my FPS is lower I get smoother experience cos my GPU takes that load... its so stupid but welcome to Frostbite
In previous frostbite games I had to up my resolution scale to get this result too
