What's with the massive cheater influx?

I've played 10 matches today, 8 of them had obvious cheaters present.

Only my word. I've played thousands of hours in BF and can easily tell when there are cheaters.

you got 73% achievements and your playtime is hidden, going of achievements you played 8 months, Show proof of your thousands of hours played. Anyone can go to my account and see my 1,000+ hours.

Achievements are the most irrelevant metric. Absolute garbage take. They're also broken fyi, as i'm missing 3 from steam that I have actually done, so i'm 28/34 does that make you happy? 🤡🤡🤡

Yes, I set my profile to private recently, because I found that a majority of steam users have their set to private - why should I share my information if others do not (there should be a 3rd option, wherein if yours is private you can't see anyone else..)

Then you haven't played a lot of BF. As I said, both BF1/BF4/BFV have had waves of cheaters to the point where pc bf1 servers where taken down temporarily.

1942 and 2142 also had cheating, they put anti cheat in those games because the prevalence of cheating in those games necessitated it's addition. Anti cheat only curbed cheating but never stopped it. Sadly it's only gotten worse over time despite anticheat.

Bring back Punkbuster, it was better than these so called anti cheats.

Bring back Punkbuster, it was better than these so called anti cheats.

Yep. Punkbuster was at times a pain in the ass, but it definitely worked waaaaaaaaaay better.

I think it was more that most of the cheat makers and cheaters didn't have a good grasp on how anti cheat or PB worked back then. It wasn't that punkbuster was better more that the cheat makers hadn't acquired the skills at evading detection. Sadly they've gotten much better at it over time.

players just suck, sometimes my team is so dominated I cant even play Control

Machinery on ground and 2 helicopters alive half game

i never saw a cheater in my 5000h playtime

couple of time i reported some suspicous players...for every my report i get back note from EA that they take actions against reported player...i dont report every player who "humiliates" me in match, but couple of time it was suspciousa and i was right...my last match today, player level 52 headshoot me 4 times with SMG from long distance, K/D score 127/5 after match...legit, yea right

It got even better when a player or clan would come into my clans forum to profess innocence after they or a teammate received a ban, you could post the log entries & or PB screenshots showing them caught read handed cheating. I do miss that a bit.
