Plenty of valid reasons to not only kick people from your squad, but LOCKING the squad from people joining.
But I think we should be able to create a squad and set a password so only friends could join.
You can just create a new squad?
Also, believe it or not, there are people that prefer to play without a squad at all. Previous BF games (up to BF4/BFH from my experience) allowed you to leave squads entirely and run solo. BFBC2 even asks if you want to be placed in a squad when the match is loading. I know it may sound crazy but those people exist. If some guy wants to sit back at base sniping all day which people have been doing in BF long before BF2042, who is to stop them except admins of custom servers who have rules for that?
That's a fair point, but you're also assuming everyone wants human interaction, lol. This may sound like a foreign and completely alien concept to many but, there are people out there who turn off all voice chat settings the moment they finish installing an online game. Some people even go as far as to disable text chat too. This new "all chat" feature that was added back in Season 4 is nice and all, assuming people actually take the time to go into their settings to enable it, and quite frankly some people won't because they don't care or want to deal with the friendly trash-talking between the teams.
That's great that you're receptive to other players politely asking you to make room for a friend and in general the BF community is not a toxic hellhole unlike CoD (making a blanket statement assuming everyone on CoD is toxic, just like your assumption that people want human interaction), but that's just you. How many people are out there with voice AND text chat turned off who can't hear or see the message? How many people are just outright ♥♥♥♥♥ that refuse to leave?
Not sure why everyone is focusing on that one specific example. That's the least important reason for why some is kicked from a squad.
I went to grab food came back 10 mins later still in match
Yes this what we do for now, and from user experience perspective this is just a workaround. I got a friends to play this game and we like to play it as squad.
But my point, this was an entirely not a new feature in all BF series and I am a long BF fans...
Today standard on how to deliver features in AAA game industry is really a concern. They even cannot retrofit existing features.
While the same time camping 0-10 recons in your squad are completely fine and useful addition to the team.
and you need to tell your friends to switch to that squad.
If i want to manage something i would play the sims...Sounds like a very annoying play-style and I don't care who is with me or how they play but i guess that's also why my underwear don't sweat the seat either
