100% CPU usage
Is it normal to be at 100% cpu usage constantly in this game. I have a 12700k. Issue is only on this game. Puts P cores, E cores, and all the hyperthreads at 100%

its not normal for any cpu constantly running on 100% usage it won't hurt the cpu but overheat other components in motherboard, try to disable cpu boost in power option it woudn't affect any performance though see if that work

Capping the fps and lowering the graphics settings doesn’t hurt either to reduce heat.

at what resolution?

My 11 yr old PC would be at 99% and heating up, so I cap the fps. Not sure what my new PC was at, but if I let the fps run wild the cpu usage goes up and so does the heat. So I cap the fps and lower the graphics/res if I need more fps.

What GPU do you have and what Resolution are you playing on? Your more likely to be CPU bound if your player at lower resolution and have a good GPU. This includes if you are using FSR or DLS as your rendering the game at lower resolution.
What percentage is your GPU usage at?

in any game it should not be above 85% is the max for any game,70% to 80% is normal, btw bf2042 is the only game using high cpu usage never encountered in cod or pubg or others

Theres videos on how to bring it down. it did work for me dropping the percentage by about 20%. But the CPU still gets way hotter in this game than any other game

Ya bf 2042 is the first game I have ever seen make my 12700k go above 50%

GPU usage is also at max. Funny thing is though is that despite it saying my cpu is at 100% I am not cpu bound because I can change graphical options that are strictly GPU related and gain more fps which usually wouldnt be the case if i was cpu bound. I'm not overheating or anything though.

The game runs perfectly fine. I get around 100-140fps everything on ultra. Just was wondering if the 12700k being at 100% was strange for this game.

Bf2042 is known for using everything you have no matter how high end pc you've got. It's like they forgot a line or two in the basic code.

Process lasso is considered "illegal" by the anti-cheat, IF used on bf 2042. IF you went and used it into "something else" however it would be allowed. I don't know is it forbidden to talk about this, so I'm just saying I do not recommend trying to use process lasso on Battlefield 2042, but there are other Apps you can use it on and it'd bound the game as well.

I'm running 12700kf without e cores all oc with 4070ti on 1080p all on low getting 330+ fps but cpu is not at 100% usage
