So, this Battlefield Labs
It's pretty much so EA doesn't have to pay for game testers? Since the playerbase is pretty much unpaid game testers nowadays ESPECIALLY for AAA games, guess this is just a way to get everyone to test their games for them without having to pay ACTUAL game testers/their QA department?

It's more or less the CTE that we had for BF4, Except this isn't for post-launch, It's pre-launch instead.

Yeah, they're just marketing it as something else so they don't catch flak for using unpaid workers.
Still better than nothing I guess, beats just dropping a turd wrapped in crepe paper with its 120$ price-tag and calling it a day.
I'm saying that because 2042 needed a year post release to become stable enough to be enjoyable and a year more to get the minimum amount of maps that a 2020s Battlefield title should have, imo.
Its so you can blame the playerbase instead of the devs if the game comes out as a trainwreck.
They have a player test program, and they pay you in keys for games. Google Electronic Arts Playtesting. This is how I found out about the Battlefield Labs and I have gotten several keys from testing.

They also tried it at the end of BF4 life cycle and community assisted map "Operation Outbreak" was nothing special. How do I know? Because nobody is asking for remake of "Operation Outbreak".
You either have people who can make good maps in your team or you don't.
No amount of community involvement can fix that.
Democracy doesn't work here, sorry.

What they _should_ do is bring back people who left after BF3. Map makers. And pay them premium.
