and the tanks felt superior and great too, here:
https://battlefield.fandom.com/wiki/Heavy_Metal_(Multiplayer)
really great physics of bullets and shells ..
not to mention my beloved HK416 .. and MG42/3
BF3 and upwards just felt wrong .. COD-like .. animations cheap and crappy, and the HK416 was not and in BF2042 "is" not that one from BFBC2 or from BF3 as they added .. just the skins look same, not the weapon handling and feeling ..
again not to mention the missing HARDCORE gamemode ..
i was playing HARDCORE ONLY !!
however, BF3 felt better than BF3 remake aka BF4. BF4 was a money maker .. after it has received all and more maps, BF4 then become successful ..
if i could i would erase memories of BF3, BF4, BF1, BFV, ... yes, even BF2042 feels better than BF3 or BF4 ..
BFBC2 was best, hence we only had a handful of weapons available ..
Everyone was using the same weapons .. so it was even a balanced gameplay ..
Just because a majority of players were playing BF4 does not mean it was the better part of the series ... just take a look to CSGO or CS2 ... it is the worst shooter in PC gaming history ... worst hitreg to begin with, as well as infested with cheater and toxic players .. it is cheater vs cheater, toxics vs toxics and everyone is addicted into USELESS skins and gambling and especially that FOMO crap, and criminals see chances to steal stuff and accounts, testing new cheats and hacks and earn more money .. all of this which makes this worst ego shooter popular or in other terms "successful" .. being #1 on the steam ladders, but clearly is NOT the "best" one of the series ..
CS:Source "is still" the best "online" shooter in history, so was BFBC2 ..
less is always more !! (except money, wealth and power) ..
If they were going to pull a stunt like that what they would do is make sure everything is well polished in what they plan to show you. It's also very telling because the username of the leaker is present. Marketing and the devs would have done the obvious and blurred all names of not only the their account but of squad mates, text chat. and kills. This way they would be able to pretend like they don't know who did it if it was really themselves. It's also worth noting marketing would want to capture cool moments to make the game look appealing. While the leaked content is extremely tame and not even a decent player. Which makes the leak not exactly exciting to watch,
Also your point of the videos lasting 9 hours on a weekend is a terrible point. Right now its Sunday and all of EA's internal law team is almost certainly not working today. Which they will leave DMCA and other legal filings up to them.
Not everything is a conspiracy, use common sense.
I agree with you, Bad Co 2 was peak
You may want to rethink your objection here. If PC was included in this leaks could easily go well beyond game play footage. If someone leaked this early builds of the PC version to cheat creators. Unfinished versions of multiplayer games leaking is terrible. It's not terribly uncommon for these early builds to have partially readable source files.
With the console path even if someone did leak all the data from a console version the cheat creators won't really be able to do much and won't be able to test it on PC. Where as your desire would risk having functional cheats being distributed before the official release of the game. Plus the console version won't be risking any of the anti-cheat code leaking
When this happened for WarCraft III it was a nightmare because an early build leaked and there were functional map hacks even before launch. People were literally sitting on maphacks for a game that they couldn't even play yet.
Or CS:GO's beta leak also included critical components on VAC which lead to the anti-cheat being reversed engineered its detection methods. Not only causing Day 1 cheats as well but crippling the usefulness of VAC for quite sometime.
There is simply too big of a reason to not include PC versions in these tests. When it is a PC exclusive game there might not be any choice but when it comes to BF6 or any cross platform game it is such a better idea to limit it to consoles.
