EA Account Hacked, Unexplained Ban, and No Support.
My EA account got hacked. I found out when I noticed a sale and log in. Thankfully, EA's live chat support helped me recover my account. However, now there's a penalty on my account for a violation that supposedly happened during a time when I didn’t even have EA games or the launcher installed. The penalty reason field is blank, so I have no idea what went wrong. I submitted a ban appeal asking for the reason, but after three support tickets, all I got was a vague response saying that my account violated the User Agreement (The first 2 where Tos violatedes). They won’t provide any details, and the penalty remains in place. Normally, I’d just make a new account and move on, but EA has The "one lifetime account" rule. Since my EA and Steam accounts are linked, I can’t go online in any EA-related games on Steam.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do next, or am I just screwed?

I am sorry that happened to you. But you should also try to investigate how they got into your account to begin with. Did you reuse a password that make have been part of a leak for example. Use this to help find out. https://haveibeenpwned.com/ If that isn't the case I would strong urge you to see if you have anything on your PC if you've been infected.

Sadly if they used your account to cheat or do other extreme behaviors to get you banned it is highly unlikely you will ever be unbanned. As for the lifetime bond between accounts that is also something you are out of luck on.

It doesn't look like EA enables family sharing here on Steam for multi-player games either so making an alt Steam account and EA account seem to be off the table. It really looks like the only way you could resolve this is if you just make a alt accounts for both and just repurchase the games. Be sure to turn on 2-factor as well. While not perfect it does greatly reduce the chances of accounts being compromised.

Bad Luck indeed for me, my accounts across platform are in a massive well linked spiderweb. everthing is connected and the possibility of me buying it on epic and having the same issue since my steam is conneted with my epic is possible. (also a way of protection i found out by a other bad luck case). i hope that the will remove the "Liftime link" on same point becasue i can't be the only one facing this issues (and they are making this harder since i can't unlink anything becasue of the penlty). for now i take the L and move own... sad becasue i was ready to play for a while.
