The only 3 games I can think of that fit:
- Easy Red 2 (has it's downsides and don't buy it for PvP as rarely anyone plays PvP in it)
- Ravenfield (which on itself is ugly and basic as hell and you need to play with plethora of mods to have it resemble anything nice; also it has no multiplayer by default, some guys have mdded multiplayer in, but no idea how lively or playable it is).
- Op. Harsh Doorstop (still low TTK, not entirely realistic and still work-in-progress, but it has mods & enough options to make it NOT a walking simulator; it's more grounded than BF 2042 and I assume that's what you're after; it's also completely free; see vid below)

So basically it's these 3, or walking sims like ARMA: Reforger, Squad, HLL or if you want to have a really good time (& really long walks) ARMA 3 (which I recommend for SP & Coop).
If you don't mind focusing on just infantry you can see if Insurgency: Sandtrap is in a playable state right now, but given the player numbers I wouldn't assume so.
