FOCUSRITE USER: Audio constantly going robotic/static only in Battlefield 2042
Hey everyone, I'm not sure if is this is a personal system issue, but literally every time I go to play this game the audio breaks. It goes super robotic and the sound loops in on itself (if I was shooting, it will play the sound effect like 5 more times after the input). I have a focusrite with an AKG XLR mic hooked up to it and I use discord for comms. I also have a full AMD system so I suppose that might be causing some driver issues, but I haven't found anything about this. The only solution to the problem is to unplug and plug back in the entire focusrite system. This is pretty game breaking for me and is definitely limiting my desire to play, so I just wanted to post here and see if anyone has found a fix for this. Thanks.

I have a Scarlett 2i2 I sometimes use for the mic (so just recording input) while gaming, I have seen a few times I had to unplug and replug the usb for certain odd glitches. But I mostly use HDMI out from a RTX 2070 to a receiver for audio output. If you are running it as your main audio "card" I would suggest trying different buffers settings in your Focusrite panel in the taskbar. You may be trying to run too low a buffer for your systerm at your desired sample rate. But it is a trade off........higher buffer equals more stable audio, but more lag.....less buffer, less lag but more screwy audio.

p.s. do try to use 192khz sample rate...........it sounds so much more.."natural" to me......not to mention the greater signal to noise ratio you will get so much more out of your volume knob.

This helped a bunch! Thanks for your time.
