Chat text not working?

Hi,

I been having an issue, before I was able to see people talking in all chat, squadron chat and party chat. But now I am getting a complete silence? I know something is wrong because my friend can see my chats but I cannot see their chats? Does anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it? Would be much appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue.. hopefully someone can help soon. It's very lonely lol.

Edit: go to settings, display, HUD General and them scroll down and enable "All Chat"
It automatically turned it off for me, that's most likely your issue too. Hope this helps!

Wait actually nah that wasn't it. This issue is wild why is there no answer for this. It's not that text chat isn't visible, it's visible and there is no text chat from anyone ever for like a year now for me. The issue persists through total wipe and reinstall on a different drive, clearing temp files in the EA app, etc.
