They've been working on the new battlefield game since this one released so we'll probably hear more about it at start of next year.

I'd advise skipping 2042 as its not a true Battlefield title just a hero-shooter with a failed extraction mode with the Battlefield name slapped on the tin. Multiplayer mode was an after thought and you can tell by the launch maps.

Im on the fence coz theres not much CONTENT, gliches and performance issues, i was waiting for the single player campaign but im still waiting ? where is it. Anyways whats the DEVS future plans coz it looks like the ship is sinking when is devs gonna jump ship ?

2042 is in a much better state than it was at launch. They're bringing classes back in season 3. If I were you I wouldn't pay full price for it, I'd wait for a sale or something to bring it down to 20 bucks or less.

I have never played a battlefield before and for $30 its not a bad shooter in my opinion. Spawn in die instantly, ran over, blown up, grenades anything u could possibly want to fps rage
