I have no idea to turn off this....
However looking at this.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WswwyF2QqS0
Both are equally cringe.
To me the old ones are way less cringe since people will probably cuss in battle. The voice lines from bf2042 sound like straight out of some cheap f2p game ...
if you then stab your eyes, it doesn't look so bad.
It's all opinion. It's not the swearing, there should be a bit of that, it's just the full lines they say that I find cringe. However, maybe equally was incorrect, both are cringe to me but BF2042 are more so, not something anyone would say during war.
The US lines were great though and their absence in later games was a tremendous loss imo. "♥♥♥♥♥ in the dirt boys" being one of my favorites for strafing runs.
For example when you drive with a car and jump over something - thats just immersion breaking. Just imagine someone going to war driving full speed away from or into danger and doing jumps that are way too extreme just to say stuff like "Yes hahah" when jumping ...
It feels like playing mario kart ...
And it makes no sense - i play in first person - but this feels like playing some random edgy weirdo (pretty much any of the specialists) in a game that still has his owne cringe personality ...
That was more of your main point and got offtopic with the pre-post game lines. I agree though, at times when traveling before the war destination then sure, people will get excited from doing a jump, but not in the middle of combat. The travel I mean, is not even really in this, you start in the warzone here. Really would not hurt to have an option to turn them off.
2042 "well well well, that was fun"
new age kids these days...
Thanks for your pointless post.
