DLSS not working? Try enabling it in the config

documents/Battlefield 2042/settings/PROFSAVE_profile
open in a text editor and set the following

GstRender.DLSSEnabled 1
GstRender.NvidiaDLSSMode 5

5 is for Quality setting, not sure what the rest are but you can change it in-game after setting this and it should still work.

Some people are saying to also "enable" Dx12 but this likely doesn't do anything. It's a leftover setting from previous games since BF2042 is a Dx12 exclusive game. It's already running on Dx12. But if you want to try setting it to 1, go for it.

I have DLSS turned on but have no idea if its actually working because i still get large frame drops at random even with a 3080 and a 5800x. Setting DLSS to performance doesn't seem to change anything either.

It's a simple config change. It should be no different from changing the setting in-game. But difference is for some reason DLSS hasn't been working for myself and others, but after enabling it in the config it appears to be working now.

I wouldn't be surprised as the menu ui is broken especially key config, i'm sure some settings aren't even enabling when you turn them on. Each setting doesn't really have a description as to what they do it just says that it turns on and off.

Yeah I know the beta had a few options that didn't do anything. So far I haven't had an issue with keybindings or other video options and such, at least none I've noticed, but DLSS was definitely not working. Setting it to ultra performance should cause an obvious change to fidelity, yet did nothing until I changed it with the config. Changing it with the UI seems to be working now after the tweak so I'm not sure whether it was just a UI bug or not.
