Having only the option for huge open spaces ends being boring (no TDM, no small conquest in All out Warfare).
Am curious where you got that info from as their official twitter did not mention anything about day 1 patch details yet.

Someone i know working on the game hinted so. He better have told the truth ahaha. I want to play more infantry... Or i wouldn't mind if at least they fix the vehicles being broken to play on big maps!
Its not that it feels empty. I see action everywhere all the time. It doesn't suffer the "battle royale running simulator" problem. The problem is that every single engagement is almost at sniper distance making infantry play absolutely boring. And its sad. TTK is rewarding, gunplay is fine and punchy, but everything gets ruined because theres little to zero even mid range encounters. All battles are from far away and end before you can close the distance.
Past BFs were "all in one package" FPS games in which you could go one game flying with planes and another one playing close quarters. This BF game is only about long range battles.
And in all past BF games, small and/or infantry gamemodes were a CORE part of the game, not relegated to Portal where someone might or might not open up some server.
