Battlefield error after update 8.1.0

Try completely exiting the EA app and Steam and reload steam then launch the game.

This happened after one update. Why do you need to do so many steps to fix this. I looked at the discussions and it turns out this is not an isolated issue. Do the developers even know what they did and are they going to fix it somehow?

I'm also having trouble but I'm not even getting a crash message. I click play and it just doesn't open. Really annoying, game worked fine lastnight

I saw something similar in the tab "Report a Problem", but without solution.

I ended up fixing my issue, had to launch the game through EA itself, really ridiculous, hope you fix yours soon man

The funny thing is that I tried to launch the game through the EA launcher and it worked once. Then another error.

after launch the game from the EA App i stil have the problem. Any other option to fix it?

P.S. why is the game automatically updating without my notification and permission

The problem is in three game files. Every time I check it shows that I need to download these three files. And even after downloading these files and checking again, it still shows three broken files. A vicious circle. And I used different regions for downloading (Germany and Finland).

Developers, do something about this!

I just had this problem and i found EA was open 7 times in my task manager and it didn't know what one to launch the game from. i closed all of them and restarted game from steam launcher and it works fine now. hope this helps
