BF 2042 not launching via Steam

It has been 2 days that I have been trying to launch my game and it will not let me. I tried every type of method available online. I uninstall the game, reinstalled it, repaired it, turned off fire wall, updated all the drivers, turned off all the overlays, you name it, I did it. None of them work. I double click on the game, it launches with a blank black screen for 5 seconds then shuts down and returns to EA app. Steam has no recourse and obviously won't refund since I played more than 2 hours of this game.

Crash the EA App processes in the Windows Task Manager.

Get in BF 2042 installation folder and use the EA App installer located in the __Installer\Origin\ to repair \ reinstall the app. Then it should start properly.

its beyond funny i never have these issues because i never bought a EA game on steaming pile.....

if you didn't buy the game ever then you wouldn't have access to these forums.

repair like jon said or clear cache for app and try again

it is the EA App you need to fix / update
the EA App auto-updates in background when starting BF2042, and sometimes it corrupts and all EA App's .exe files are gone ..
