Your idea of "medics should be run and gun" is very much a BF3/4 mindset where the "Medic" had the best guns in-game and infinite health along with grenade launchers as an option. BF3/4 was IMO the start of Assault players running around with grenade launchers and medkits going one-man-army instead focusing on teamwork/coop and using defibs and medkits like in BFBC2 when they were limited to LMGs while Assault had ARs/GLs with ammo boxes.
Gonna be honest, I don't play ANY FPS games for teamwork or to make friends, that's entirely coincidental and never a goal and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one. I'm a solo player, if my actions help the team win, awesome. If the team is 1000 points down the moment i joined and there is no hope of winning? Don't care, I'm here to use my favorite guns to kill people. Too many enemy vehicles? Tough luck I guess, I'm not the engineer here, I'll play that role IF I feel like it, NOT because the situation calls for more Engineers. Also, like I said above about "Medics" in BF3/4 and their meta M16A3/ACE23s, has been a thing since BF3/4, they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the team and never did. Not even the Support players cared. Only a handful of Support players would actually throw down ammo for the team...I'd know.
Why do you play shooter games? Is it for the coop or teamwork? To make friends and socialize? To PVP and dunk on some scrubs/climb the ranks and be the best? To win? Because its fun? To turn off their brain after a day of work/school and relax? To simply shoot guns and kill people? I think more people need to ask themselves this question. I know what my true answer is.
Well then, sounds like it's time for you to be the medic and rake in tons of points every round. Be the hero OP!
I do my part
I’ll revive anyone anywhere, pop down a shield and res
This ^^
Im always the only one running around with recoilessM5 wich is also a great sniper btw ;-)
"CoD with vehicles" has been heard a billion times since BFBC2.
