Nobody revives anybody, this is why old Battlefield is better
Weapons should be locked according to classes, otherwise people will just use the classes and special abilities selfishly. Nobody uses their ability for the betterment of the team. Everybody is randomly running around and shooting at everything like maniac with no sense of objective or cooperation. Vehicles should not self repair, they should only be able to repair with engineers, and medics should be the run and gun, not the marksman using spawn point and an smg. Some weapons should be universal but it should never be OP.

Honestly dude, people have been doing this since the dawn of class based shooters. This feels noticeable in BF2042, but this has been a thing in older BF games as well and quite frankly its expected for this genre of shooters (class/hero based). Back in the older BF games like BFBC2, some custom servers had to limit how many recon players were on a team because as you can guess, there were "too many" recon players who only camped at the back of spawn sniping instead of PTFO, if you played on a server without those custom limits? Tough luck, didn't stop people like me from playing Assault and using the M14EBR or any of the shotguns with slugs, sat back with an ammo box and sniped people with a slug shotty or M14EBR (especially on the hardcore servers). Meanwhile in BF3, there was IMO an overwhelming amount of Assault players because the M16A3 was the meta weapon. Back in BFBC2, outside of Recon, class distribution felt more even because the Assault in BFBC2 had ammo packs instead of med packs, so you can't just run around with an AR and grenade launcher and have infinite health at the same time. The moment BF3/4 gave the medpacks to Assault class, there were noticeably more Assault players than Support players for example. People will "main" whatever they like. You can choose to be a jack-of-all-trades, others will choose to be a master of one. Nothing is really going to change people's mindsets and make them stop "maining" a certain class or weapon unless its a custom server that restricts it.

Your idea of "medics should be run and gun" is very much a BF3/4 mindset where the "Medic" had the best guns in-game and infinite health along with grenade launchers as an option. BF3/4 was IMO the start of Assault players running around with grenade launchers and medkits going one-man-army instead focusing on teamwork/coop and using defibs and medkits like in BFBC2 when they were limited to LMGs while Assault had ARs/GLs with ammo boxes.

Gonna be honest, I don't play ANY FPS games for teamwork or to make friends, that's entirely coincidental and never a goal and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one. I'm a solo player, if my actions help the team win, awesome. If the team is 1000 points down the moment i joined and there is no hope of winning? Don't care, I'm here to use my favorite guns to kill people. Too many enemy vehicles? Tough luck I guess, I'm not the engineer here, I'll play that role IF I feel like it, NOT because the situation calls for more Engineers. Also, like I said above about "Medics" in BF3/4 and their meta M16A3/ACE23s, has been a thing since BF3/4, they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the team and never did. Not even the Support players cared. Only a handful of Support players would actually throw down ammo for the team...I'd know.

Why do you play shooter games? Is it for the coop or teamwork? To make friends and socialize? To PVP and dunk on some scrubs/climb the ranks and be the best? To win? Because its fun? To turn off their brain after a day of work/school and relax? To simply shoot guns and kill people? I think more people need to ask themselves this question. I know what my true answer is.

I agree, 2042 just feels like COD with larger maps.

COD with vehicles is all it is. No other real differences. They have in common a relatively worthless anti cheat, no real communication with their respective customers.

Well then, sounds like it's time for you to be the medic and rake in tons of points every round. Be the hero OP! :steamsunny:

i only play medic for selfheal. no revive
I get revived all the time, my issue is that no one ever has anti tank gadgets. Dice seems allergic to giving 1 person enough rockets to kill at least 1 tank, as if that would be imbalanced somehow.

Facts ! Haven is my favorite, and how many people are using a rpg ? Just me, guess players are conditioned to be vehicle raped.

There are times when there is no one to revive, then other times two at one time are reviving you. If you have multiple on a working team, you can really go. I have also seen many enemy teams overrun me like that. This game is more like a Castle Rush game, so there are snipers, but you can go try to get them if you want. You can do what you want, which is a good thing sometimes, when your team isn't working. I still try to join one of them if they are not together though.

yes and no. I still fully believe that BFV did vehicles the best. giving them limited ammo so they can't just move up and spawn camp (this has in fact happened before) and they also can only be repaired by the driver up to a specific point depending on damage taken. in order to fully repair, you need an engineer or a field resupply/repair emplacement.

"Nobody revives anybody" has been one of the most common complaints in the franchise since the beginning.

"CoD with vehicles" has been heard a billion times since BFBC2.
