A lot of people feel the need to ALWAYS play the latest game in a series, even if the latest is objectively a much worse game. People feel "left behind" if they don't hop on the next big thing. For some, gaming is more of a fashion trend and less of a hobby.
but the maps most of them are very bad, even worse than 2042 maps, and i don't understand how they managed to create Rotterdam map which is one of the best ever but screwed all the other.
also the balance is the worst ever especially in breakthrough mode.
