not really the game literally just got a new season and maps. it wasnt abandoned lol. it should get more updates but saying its abandoned is silly. teamfortress 2 is an abandoned game. 2042 is not

they realized they'll never make this game into the level of BF3 or BF4 as they lose the great developers, especially the great map designers, so they left portal and old player behind and try to serve the new players from COD or Apex Legends, and as they are doing it well they would not pay attention to portal, since they can't sell skins there

season 7 is the final season, no more content after that, they already stated in there latest blog. It was abandoned completely, no updates, no new maps, nothing.

The only people making content for Portal were the weird bot farmers and milsim roleplayers. It never actually had something worth playing.

I like the addition of the portal. It's fun playing others creations there on different Era Maps. I made a couple of Pistol and Crossbow only Matches that were fun and useful.
The ability to use some of the other Era Maps came in handy. The ability to create on it's own is a nice edition to the game.
