The ammount of one frame deaths by other players on me, is comical and to have such a gamebreaking bug still in the game, over 1 year after release, is incompetence at the highest level.
ALL maps are absolutely horrible and the guns are the worst out of any shooter ive ever played.
And to the gaslighting trolls who say: Skill issue, you have just a trash pc and trash internet......
You are wrong!
I play at over 100fps, with a ping of 18ms and i have 2.8 k/d, across the board on all battlefield tites.
So basically best case scenario.
Dice and EA should feel ashamed of themself, to put IT crap like that out there.
If i would give the guests in my restaurant a meal that is on the equivalent level of trash that this game portraits, i would get beaten to a pulp by said guests and they would ask for their money back.
They feel safe, because they sale a software product and think they are out of reach for their scammed costumers.
Hell, look at player numbers in 2042 vs BF5 in Steam, it is 75000 today's peak for BF5 vs 25000 for 2042! BF5 despite being abandoned by the developers is STILL a better game and people still playing it shows it.
Again, DO NOT BUY 2042, IT SHOULD DIE OFF COMPLETELY.
And again, DO NOT BUY 2042.
LET IT DIE.
(Player BF5 instead)
Dunno man i get oneshotted all the time recently and blowen up gy some grenades which haven't been even thrown yet.
A large scale map will often drop as low as 25hz, which emphasises the issues further. TDM gets 45hz, but it's a far cry from the stable netcode on BF1 and previous whilst also being on 60hz servers.
I said from the start that the game feels very much like Halo Infinite, in that console/PC players on crappy WiFi or poor connections in general have the advantage. The sad thing is, Halo have now implemented a proper and fair netcode for testing which is significantly better than most other online FPS games, where as 2042 has been abandonware for months now.
Unfortunately you have streamers like JackFrags who constantly claim the game is great from their warped realities, which helps keep terrible games like this alive.
Sadly BF is now a casual console shooter like CoD has been for over a decade.
The game has built in hit-detection graphs. That is all the proof you need of how bad the netcode is. They didn't even half a$$ it, just put an intern on it for a month and called it a day.
The good news is that BF1 and BFV, despite the odd cheater, has more players than 2042 by some margin and are both significantly more polished and enjoyable experiences than this tripe due to functional networking.
You're 100% correct. Unfortunately as 2042 was lead by the guy who made Candy Crush, it is to be expected that 2042 was intended to be a casual console shooter fortnite lootbox mess.
They wanted to be CoD so badly that they even copied the trash netcode that favours auto aim console players on bad WiFi connections with packet loss just to make them feel special enough to buy skins.
I recommend everyone give Halo Infinite's current "Squad Battle" network test a go and see how it feels to play. Yet to be killed after sprinting behind a wall so far. None of this invisible bullet nonsense prevalent in 2042.
