Portal and gun attachments

Does anyone know how to setup a Portal experience and host a server on 2042 in a way that not only allows you to gain XP, but attachments for guns too? Is this even possible?
Gaining XP isn't the problem, its achieving objectives for attachments. I know I am getting downs that should be contributing towards attachment objectives, but the counter isn't going up.
This isn't a problem in normal VS AI conquest.
The Portal I setup has a hardcore feeling, with a wide variety of maps. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, thats where I set it up. XP works fine, but attachments arent being unlocked for some reason. I cant seem to figure out what im doing wrong inside the portal, if anything

did you get warning that some features may not work on consoles? have you modified the rules?

You cannot have any AI. No pve, no pvp, nothing. As long as there is any AI (again, including pvp ai that gets removed when people join) =no progress, mastery progress, attachements, kills doesnt count. You get some xp but thats it.

You'll have to setup a completely AI free server, however it will most likely be empty unless you can get your friends to play there. 95% of portal servers are empty.

I beg to differ. Click portal than browse servers-custom servers try killfarm server. you get all. The servers get full at times. Has AI. Attachments, weekly n other. They even Have Vanilla servers.

No mastery progress though, that is 100% certain. But as for attachements, you're probably right, iirc they made that possible via solo ai games even

I can testify to the fact that you can gain attachments via solo/co-op vs AI, however, I don't see how it is possible through the portal still. Which is too bad, because I like to play hardcore. . .

No nothing like that, i could give you the code to look at it if it helps at all, but I just am not finding any way to allow attachments to be achieved
