My Battlefield™ 2042 has been updated since Season 6. When you go into the game, after 5 minutes of playing, the game goes to a black screen and gives this ERROR.
Unable to connect to the EA servers. Please check your Internet connection, make sure the Platform Client is online and try again. Please see ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information.
Error code: 1:4688822970-408592 18
Then you go into the game and hit me again, it doesn't go into the game, it gives the same error
please help me

I did it a thousand times, but it doesn't work

go to your main game folder > EAAntiCheat > EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe and then choose BF2042 and update it (if it don't work try repair)

This helped me, can't guarantee it will be a solid fix for everyone. If you are on Windows system, go into your network settings and change your DNS to Google's DNS server 8.8.8.8. Then go into command prompt:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
I then restarted my computer, and it seems to be working fine now.

Same problem since the update releasing the redacted map. Had zero problems before that.
Kicked every 5 minutes, with above message.. reinstalled game + ea app + ea anti cheat several times with no effect.. basically not been able to play 2042 since that update. All other BF games still work fine.
