Why are players in 2042 so...dumb?

Honestly this game should have a case study as to the depths of some peoples intellect. I've constantly seen players:

- Look dead at an enemy shooting me, either
A) Runs away and I die
B) Stares at him while running in circles only for me to die and him as well
- Players CONSTANTLY don't know how to drive the simplest vehicles in the game.
- Always gets them stuck or just bail when it takes 1 rocket
- They straight up don't understand classes and what their specialist do
- Medics think it's all about that SMG gameplay and ignore revives
- People blatantly are blind even when I'm spotting people
- No one wants to be in a vehicle even though it's braindead easy to get kills in APCs

Dumb BF ♥♥♥♥ that pisses me off for fun:

- Enemies prioritize me, the guy 100 meters back with no knowledge of his existence instead of him fighting the 3 allies that are literally engaging him at that moment
- I could be on the edge of the map and I'll still get shot from behind, somehow

The bad luck I have in this game is too real but man, teammates are worse than going against a team of sweats. I just want people that can fire off two neurons to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do something.

iT'S YOUR FAULT. You know players are like this so equip yourself with what you need during the match. I see it all the time and I don't bother asking for revive, ammo, health. I run with those that do teamwork

this has always been a problem in every BF game. in every game i've played there is no reason to expect even the bare minimum from random teammates. so many people are just mind numbingly dumb as dirt. i remember in BF3 and BF4 when people wouldn't press a single button to drop an ammo box or health box. or you die and have a dozen medics run past you just to die even though your body is in a safe spot while others expect you to revive them when they die in the open surrounded by enemies. they have no situational awareness and will never notice enemies that flank and cap OBJs from behind them and will never notice at all until the enemy has every OBJ, they just cap once and move to the next one like a bot, speaking of bots, i've seen AI bots with more logical plays than real human beings in this game. it's a travesty. i still enjoy the game and just do my own thing and it's so easy to farm points when you contribute to your team so it's honestly mind boggling why people don't even bother doing it. it'll always be demoralising to have team mates that play like they have yet to understand what a video game is.

No cooperation, no spotting, no communication, no clue.

Recons that have no idea what a spawn beacon is, let alone how to deploy it.
Getting overrun with tanks. 50 % of the team Assaults, 30 % Recons. 0 % switching.
Not a single guy defending back points... but we have 5 idiots camping from spawn*.
Everybody swarming only 1 point, eventually 2, because that's where fight is.

*I'll either ignore it (if we're winning) or troll them with smokes and standing in front of their scopes. Usually, most get the message. A lot harder to get an ammo bag from randoms tho.

So you waste a resource by doing no good, in trolling those guys who might at least have a decent k/d (in a game based on tickets) ...unless... someone gets in their way.

Might be a regional thing but I think EU has gotten better over the past few weeks. When that free-weekend thing was going on and a couple of weeks after the game was almost unplayable because of how many brain dead people there were. Might be because of the game modes I play (BT+Rush), medics revive if it's safe and anyone is around and they drop ammo too. Spotting is very rare though, but that has been an issue from the day 1.

One in twelve, maybe fifteen has any kind of decent amount of kills.

I mean you could read or watch a guide.

That aside there's newbs and then there's people with absolutely no fps/gaming sense at all. For some reason BF is riddled with them. Things like shooting tanks with machine guns that do no damage. Or taking vehicles only to abandon them for the enemy to take. Sometimes the bots are more favorable teammates and they stand in the road to shoot people.

I always run with a bunch of people and I stay with them. I'll get the least kills but have a lot of points helping team. I try staying with squad but they split up at times. This game also has players that insist to just get kills vs cap or supply team. Like others mentioned also, its bad when teammates use vehicles to abandon them. Some players should instruct those ingame vs being upset. save your heart and head.

There is a difference between newbies and people that literally never touched a computer before. Those are just straight up casuals. These people have no common sense nor do they have any situational awareness. I seriously and honestly believe that the bots are better than these players.

I play games like Call of Duty, Enlisted, Apex, and many others and those games have issues with teammates being bad. But this game is like stepping into a realm of extremely below average IQ people that, once again, honestly, don't know how to operate a keyboard or a mouse. I get frustrated in some other games, but BF pushes me to my limits of what is acceptable. Getting stomped 0 - 700 tickets isn't fun nor rewarding for me who attempts to spot, fly, drive, resupply, heal, revive, and everything under the sun to try to help. I don't want SBMM. I want average normal gamers, not these weird troglodytes. I've had more fun in other BF titles, which is a shame because they are all essentially infested with hackers aside from 3 & 4 (which I don't want to play).
