I am sometimes able to play BF2042 for limited windows. But then it will drop the game and the internet for my house/PC at random. Sometimes I will be 30 secs into a game and then I get crazy ping/ms and then it drops again. Or it refuses to even open the game/EA App at other times...which again crashes the game and internet.

I have raised this issue with the "EA Help Chat" and all they said is that other people have this same problem and that they are "working on it". With no actual solution offered.

^From my research...in the first link a player was able to get a fix by finding out that the issue seems to stem with syncing the player's friends lists from EA (with maybe Steam's potentially). In the second link (given in a post in the first link), a player was able to get this issue fixed by EA doing some background work to his account (from back in 2021). I raised these to the EA Help Chat person too and they said they could not open the links and that "the issue had been raised" which was no help again.

I asked if this issue seems to only effect those players who have bought the game through Steam and are connecting it through to the EA App and the rep confirmed, "yes". So until enough people raise/report this issue on the EA forums then it will never be resolved...as it seems to have been a continuous occurrences for players since 2021 when EA removed Origin and replaced it with the EA App.

Please go and report this issue through promoting the first link I gave or by making more forum posting referencing this error code and EA App issue. Only together through collective action will the "wonderful" folks at EA actually care to fix this...

Seems like we're facing the same error code, except on my end, the game wont even get to the start menu. Hits me with a "connection timeout" and the respective error code mentioned as your discussion title. This practically makes the game unplayable.

I've already contacted support twice, shared the same links, and received the same useless answers "the team has been notified and will handle it"

Any updates on your end? I'm personally thinking of refunding and using the funds on something i can actually play . . .
